A winery that has captured our hearts is the beautiful wines of Santadi. The winery is located on the southwest coast of Sardinia, specifically in the heart of the Sulcis district. Here, we find a beautiful winery with modern winemaking techniques. Yet, the winery still preserves the old traditions, which are what have made them great. The winery's founding in 1960 was when a group of winegrowers joined forces to produce the finest wines in Sardinia. Initially, they primarily produced bulk wines, but the big step came when Mr. Antonello Pilloni took over as chairman in 1970. He contributed significantly to the winery and even brought top oenologist Giacomo Tachis to work for it. This is no stranger to the winery, and Santadi produces some of the finest wines today.

Santadi now has over 600 hectares of vineyards filled with local grape varieties, including Cannonau and Carignano, where this red wine, Kanis, is made. The vines are located in Cannonau di Sardegna, where they enjoy a wonderful climate. Plenty of sunshine and cool breezes ensure a unique and ripe harvest. It is harvested by hand at perfect ripeness, and each bunch is inspected during the harvest. Purity in its purest form is the result. After pressing, this Noras Cannonau di Sardegna is aged for an impressive six months in wooden barrels in Santadi's cellars. It becomes full and round, retaining its unique character.

The oak aging gives this Noras a beautiful ruby ​​red color. The color is very attractive, but it doesn't stop there; a wonderful aroma awaits. We smell delicate notes of blueberries and blackberries, sweet spices like cinnamon, tobacco, and a hint of chocolate. The palate is smooth on the tongue with delicate aromas of red and black fruit. Lovely light spices and a touch of tobacco and chocolate complete the picture.
