Flavour profile
The ultimate top wine from Finca Egomei, this Alma Rioja—well, sit back and enjoy this one, because what a powerhouse! This wine is made from approximately 75 percent Tempranillo grapes, supplemented with Graciano, sourced from a very old vineyard of around 70 years. These vines produce full-bodied and powerful grapes, perfect for this royal wine, Egomei Alma Rioja. After being hand-harvested, this Alma Rioja is aged for 18 months in oak barrels in Egomei's cellars. This is followed by a further 6 months of bottle aging, as the wine only leaves the cellar when it is in top condition. Fortunately, this vintage is ready to drink. The aroma reveals a very broad bouquet of black fruit, light spices, plums, chocolate, tobacco, and oak. The palate is very full, with refined, beautiful tannins and ripe fruit notes such as blackberry and cherry. On the back of the tongue we tasted nuances of vanilla, toasted oak, pepper and other spices, but also some plums and dark chocolate.</p
