What a treat this top Rioja wine is, but all connoisseurs know that Conde de Valdemar produces top-notch Rioja wines. We must say that this one is truly outstanding for its price-quality ratio, a round and powerful wine. This dry red wine from Bodegas Valdemar is perfect for wine connoisseurs who prefer 0.0 grams of sugar in their wine. The Conde Valdemar Reserva Rioja comes pretty close, as it was vinified with only 1.7 grams of residual sugar. This dense and robust red wine is balanced and layered on the palate. With its vibrant fruit acidity, the Conde Valdemar Reserva Rioja is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate.
Spanish powerhouse of Conde Valdemar
The Valdemar winery is a family business with origins dating back to 1889. The current owner, Jesús Martínez Bujanda, began construction of the current winery in 1982. Modern facilities and innovative winemaking methods have been among the winery's key features from the outset. This Spanish powerhouse is a cuvée made from the Garnacha, Graciano, and Tempranillo grape varieties. After harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here, they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in large oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Afterward, the Conde Valdemar Reserva Rioja is aged for 26 months in French and American oak barrels, followed by two months of bottle aging in the Valdemar cellars.Enjoy the best Rioja wine
The aroma reveals a deep, rich aroma of black fruit like cherries, blackberries, and currants, complemented by vanilla and woody notes, as well as spice and tobacco. These concentrated notes are also evident in the taste of this Conde de Valdemar Reserva. Beautiful tannins and spices of clove, pepper, and bay leaf complete the whole. We can confidently call it a top Rioja!Product details
