Over the past year and a half, Quincy has immersed himself in hundreds of product texts, making him a walking encyclopedia of our product range. What started as a hobby has now grown into a serious passion. Armed with his WSET2 studies, countless tastings, and a fondness for unknown grape varieties, he now enjoys sharing his discoveries through his blogs and reviews.

Favoriete wijn?

Without a doubt, the Prunotto Pian Romualdo Barbera d'Alba. This is my absolute go-to wine when I have guests over. A beautiful, reliable classic that is always in my own wine fridge.

Favoriete Druivensoort?

Currently, I'm really enjoying Chenin Blanc, specifically from South Africa. Give me a glass with a beautiful fruit balance and an elegant, subtle hint of oak, and I'm sold.

Favoriete Wijnregio?

That, of course, depends heavily on the moment and the wine, but the classic charm of Alba (Italy) and the versatility of Stellenbosch / the Western Cape (South Africa) have absolutely stolen my heart.

Waar hou je niet van in wijn?

When it comes to red wines, I prefer to skip bottles with overly aggressive acidity; I really seek balance. With white wine, I'm critical of 'fake wood.' Oak aging is delicious, but it must come from a real oak barrel and not be dominated by wood chips.

Wat is de beste wijn die je ooit op hebt?

Glasses. You'll be amazed at how much influence the glass you use has on the wine you drink. Invest in that, and you'll get much more out of your wine.
