The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.
Burmester Sotto Voce Reserve Ruby is a classic Ruby Reserve Port. Do you find a Ruby Port a bit too juicy and a Twany too heavy? Then try this Burmester Sotto Voce Reserve Ruby Port. The grapes for this Sotto Voce Port grow on hills at an altitude of 600 meters. This allows the grapes to soak up plenty of sunshine and experience the coolness of the night. Due to the altitude, all grapes are hand-harvested at precisely the right time. The grapes are planted in a granite-rich soil, which gives the grapes their unique character. This Burmester Ruby Reserve is made from wines from different vintages, allowing for consistent quality year after year. Some of these wines have even been aged in oak barrels at least three years old, allowing for subtle oak notes in the port wine.
