A good port, dessert wine, or digestif deserves a glass that prioritizes refinement over volume. The Spiegelau Definition Digestive combines a compact bowl with a long, elegant stem and the ultra-light character of the Definition series, ensuring aromas are concentrated towards the nose so you experience almost nothing but the drink itself.
The shape has been specifically developed for concentrated, aromatic drinks served in smaller quantities.
-
13 cl capacity: The compact size is a perfect fit for port, dessert wine, liqueur, and other digestifs, where a smaller pour is customary.
-
Narrow opening: The bowl provides room to gently swirl the drink, while the narrower top concentrates the released aromas towards the nose.
-
Long stem: With a total height of 21.8 cm, the glass looks remarkably elegant and allows you to hold it without warming the bowl with your hand.
-
Refined proportions: The small bowl and slender stem give even a modest amount of wine or digestif a full-bodied and stylish presentation.
Especially with Vintage Port, Tawny Port, dessert wine, and aromatic liqueurs, the shape helps you to calmly discover concentrated aromas without them disappearing from the glass immediately.
Definition is one of Spiegelau's most refined series, developed to combine the feel of handmade glass with the precision of modern production.
-
Crystal glass: The exceptionally clear bowl allows the color and nuances of wine or digestif to be showcased to their full potential.
-
Ultra-light construction: The very thin walls and low weight ensure that the glass almost disappears while drinking.
-
Perfectly balanced: Definition is designed with careful attention to the proportions of the bowl, stem, and base, ensuring the glass feels comfortable in the hand despite its refined build.
-
Dishwasher safe: The crystal glass is made for regular use and retains its clarity and shine even after many washes.
The Definition series demonstrates that a refined, almost hand-blown feel can be perfectly combined with the practical properties of a machine-made glass.
The set consists of 6 glasses, making it immediately suitable for a dinner party, wine tasting, or a complete port and dessert wine service. With a capacity of approximately 13 cl and a height of 21.8 cm, the glass remains compact in the bowl but gains the appearance of a full-sized wine glass due to its long stem.
Within the Definition series, the Digestive glass also complements the red wine, white wine, and champagne glasses. This allows you to use one recognizable, ultra-light glass series throughout the entire dinner.
