Well, you're in the front row with this wine, made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. These grapes have matured for 18 months in 225-liter French oak barrels. This period is crucial for this red Warwick First Lady, as it develops its flavor and smoothness.

This red Cabernet Sauvignon from The First Lady of Warwick is a tribute to Norma Ratcliffe. She was the first woman to discover the winery and thus the first woman to make wine in South Africa. She also planted Cabernet Sauvignon in the Simonsberg region. Now, so many years later, we can still enjoy a top-class Cabernet Sauvignon, thanks in part to Norma Ratcliffe. The old vineyard now produces truly beautiful bunches, which are beloved throughout South Africa. The price-quality ratio is particularly phenomenal. All grapes are harvested by hand and rigorously selected, after which the wine is aged for an impressive 18 months in oak barrels.

The aroma is a beautiful bouquet of black fruit notes, with distinct hints of dark chocolate and almonds. There's also a touch of light spice, star anise, and thyme. The palate is also so beautiful, such a full-bodied wine! Lovely aromas of black fruit like blackberries and cherries complemented by spices, vanilla, and wood. Yet everything is so well-balanced! The finish is Warwick First Lady Red, with very refined tannins and thick, rich notes.
