His son, Armando, inherited this passion and passed it on to Felice Mergè, the third-generation wine master. In 1996, Felice founded the renowned Poggio Le Volpi winery. Their philosophy? Each grape is handpicked with love and care by Felice to ensure only the finest reaches the Baccarossa bottle. A year of aging in oak barrels gives the wine its rich complexity. But it doesn't stop there. After the barrel, it's aged for at least four months in the cool cellars of Poggio Le Volpi.
