Buy or order Poggio Le Volpi wine
When you think of Italian wines, you think of a rich Barolo from Piedmont, a robust Amarone from Veneto, or a creamy Pirmitivo from Puglia. However, wine is produced in many more regions than just Piedmont, Veneto, and Puglia. In fact, all regions in Italy produce excellent wines to varying degrees. This is also the case in Lazio, the region surrounding the Italian capital, Rome. One of the most beautiful wineries you'll find in this central Italian region is the magnificent Poggio Le Volpi. Poggio Le Volpi is a true family business. Although the winery officially only existed in the 1990s, its history goes back much further. It all began in the 1920s, when Mario Mergé began producing wine and olive oil. In the first decades, this was a small-scale operation. Only when his son Arando and eventually grandson Felice took over the winery did Poggio Le Volpi grow even larger. Today, the winery is famous and well-known in Rome and far beyond for its extremely good Italian wines.
