Vintage Report
The 2021 vintage for Cabernet Sauvignon from the North Coast (California) has been rated an excellent 95 points by Robert Parker. This indicates an exceptional vintage with high-quality wines that are relatively accessible and ready to drink early.
An almost entirely Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma County, supplemented with a small amount of Malbec, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, all at around 3%. This gives this wine a touch more softness and roundness. We can tell you, this is truly a unique wine, with unprecedented power and refinement. The color of this Coppola red wine is a beautiful ruby red. On the nose, this Francis Coppola Directors Cabernet Sauvignon has notes of pleasant spice and plenty of black fruit, such as blackberries and berries, along with vanilla, oak, earthiness, and dried plums. On the palate, this Directors Cabernet Sauvignon is truly a beauty. Winemaker Corey Beck put so much work into this! The palate is a true powerhouse. Plenty of black fruit, vanilla, spices, and a touch of chocolate! The finish is thick and pleasantly long. The subtle tannins complete this wine.
Masterpiece by Francis Ford Coppola
Francis Ford Coppola, founder of the Coppola Winery, has given the winemaker free rein for this Director's Series. Indeed, Francis Ford Coppola is the great director of films like The Godfather! Besides films, he has another passion: wines! In 1975, he purchased a summer home, which he transformed into the Coppola Winery. Initially, he intended to make his own wines, just like his grandfather used to. However, Francis didn't stop at a small scale. His wines are now known worldwide, and for good reason! Francis wanted to create wines for every day. The range now consists of several series, including this Director's Series. The best wine from Cabernet Sauvignon grape
This red wine belongs to the Director's series from Coppola Winery. The Coppola Director's series is a series of wines made exclusively from Sonoma County grapes. Winemaker Corey Beck hails from this region and knows the area's soil and climate like no other. Sonoma County is one of the few appellations with a microclimate conducive to growing cool-climate grapes like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, while also allowing warm-climate grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot to thrive. For this reason, the entire Director's series consists of these four grapes. Each grape produces its own distinct wine.Product details
