For high-quality sweet wines, you've come to the right place at Tschida. The estate is located on Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland, a prime location for crafting premium sweet wines. This dessert wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety: Scheurebe. Only top-quality grapes were used for this wonderfully elegant, single-varietal wine from Angerhof Tschida.

High-quality wines from Tschida

In 1982, Hans and Lisa Tschida began making their first wine together. Initially as a sideline, but 10 years later, they decided to go for it full-time. They now own 40 hectares of vineyards containing the very best grapes for their dessert wines. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Burgenland, where the vines dig their roots deep into the soil of sand, volcanic rock, and black earth. The Beerenauslese Sämling is an Old World wine in the truest sense of the word, as this Austrian wine exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The fact that the Scheurebe grapes thrive in a relatively cool climate also significantly influences the ripeness of the grapes. This is reflected, among other things, in exceptionally long and uniform grapes and a relatively moderate alcohol content in the wine.

Manual harvest for Beerenauslese Samling 88

The grapes are hand-picked and taken directly to the winery. Here, they are sorted and crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Beerenauslese Seedling is allowed to mature on the fine lees for several months. The Beerenauslese Samling 88 has a pale yellow color in the glass. It has delightful aromas of plums, black cherries, oriental spices, vanilla, and gingerbread spice. It is light-footed on the palate. With its characteristic fruit acidity, the Beerenauslese Seedling is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. It concludes with a long finish, again with hints of plums and cherries.
