Marques de Riscal has a long history, and therefore owns vineyards that have been in use for decades. Marques de Riscal Proximo is a perfect blend of Tempranillo, Mazuelo, and Graciano. The grapes grow in one of the oldest vineyards of this Spanish winery. The harvest, which takes place in the second half of September, is done manually. This makes it easier to select the grapes, as only the finest grapes are considered for Marques de Riscal Proximo. After harvest and fermentation, the wine is aged in wooden barrels for just four months, ensuring the accessible character of this Spanish wine. Much less than its bigger brother, but still sufficient.
