Every wine lover knows the exquisite quality of Domaine Yves Cuilleron, a household name in the Rhône region for years, producing exquisite wines. The winery was founded in 1920 when grandfather Yves realized his dream and embarked on a successful journey. He had no real winemaking experience, only a passion for tasting and pairing wines with food. But soon the entire wine world knew a new star had risen. Yves simply had a knack for crafting exquisite wines. After a long period, it became clear that the legacy had to stay in the family, and so the final generation took over in 1987. Yves, named after his grandfather, elevated the winery to an even higher level, and today it is renowned for its powerful wines.

What the Viognier grape is to the northern Rhône region, the Roussanne is to the northern Rhône region. This grape thrives, but yields are limited, making this white wine exclusive. The small vineyard is located in the village of Chavanay on a soil of weathered granite and clay, giving the grapes everything they need. The sun is able to do its work, and after a balanced growing season, the Roussanne grapes are harvested by hand. Each bunch is inspected, and only the finest are used in this white wine. Upon arrival at Domaine Yves Cuilleron, the grapes receive the most courteous treatment. Yes, who would have thought, a full-bodied Roussanne wine? You don't see them often, but they are so beautiful! Upon pouring, we see a light yellow color with a green shimmer. Beautiful aromas emerge from the glass, giving us impressions of exotic fruit, quince, yellow plums and apricots, with hints of vanilla and almond. On the palate, this Roussanne from the Domaine Yves Cuilleron winery is refined and elegant, with notes of ripe pear and peach. It is also wonderfully juicy and full-bodied.Product details
