The latest sensation from Delheim Winery. A beautiful winery founded over 80 years ago. Originally not as a winery, but as an estate where Germans Hans Otto Hoheisen and his wife Deli wanted to enjoy their retirement. The vineyards surrounding the manor house were intended purely as a hobby. However, Deli's nephew had other ideas. Without any knowledge of grapes or wine, he began experimenting, through trial and error, until his work was picked up by various international wine enthusiasts in the early 1960s. To this day, Delheim's South African wines are still praised by many wine drinkers.

A beautiful duo from Delheim

Delheim Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz is a wonderful blend of two grape varieties that thrive in South Africa, thanks in part to the stable and often warm climate. Firstly, Cabernet Sauvignon, an internationally renowned and beloved wine, provides the necessary fruitiness in this wine. Delheim's winemaker also uses Shiraz. This grape variety is highly tolerant of extreme temperatures and other conditions, making it ideal for growing in Stellenbosch. Shiraz gives wines character, depth, and the necessary complexity. The grapes are vinified separately, after which both grapes are aged separately for 13 months in French oak. The final blend is then created.
