If you love soft red wines, look no further! This Delbeaux Premium Merlot is a velvety, smooth red wine. As the name suggests, it's made from 100% Merot grapes, grown in Languedoc-Roussillon. This region is known for its quality wines with excellent value for money, and Delbeaux wines are no exception. The chalky soil is a major influence on the grapes. Furthermore, the vineyards are nestled between the sea and the mountains in a Mediterranean climate. Thanks to the abundant sunshine during the day and the cool sea breeze at night, the grapes can mature in complete tranquility.

The harvest of the Merlot grapes for this Delbeaux

The Merlot grapes are harvested entirely by hand to select only the finest fruit for this red wine. After harvesting, the grapes are transported in small crates to the winery, where they are pressed. Before aging, approximately 50% of the wine is aged in stainless steel vats and 50% in used French oak barrels. This light oak aging adds complexity and finesse, giving this red wine its silky smooth character. Delbeaux is a wine cooperative founded on a passion for wine. Several wine producers have joined forces to produce quality wines at an attractive price—and they've succeeded!

The soft aroma and taste of the Delbeaux Merlot

Upon pouring, we immediately notice the beautiful deep ruby red color. The aroma offers a broad bouquet of cherries, berries, and plums complemented by a touch of spice and a faint hint of vanilla. The taste is like falling onto a down comforter, so soft and refined. Beautiful flavors of red and black fruit and a hint of toffee and cherry jam. The finish is smooth, warm, and wonderfully long!
