The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

The Tempranillo grape has become the flagship of Spanish wines. Originally grown in Rioja, it's now planted throughout the Iberian Peninsula. It also has the character of a Spanish grape: spicy, spirited, yet incredibly beloved by many. This similarity ensures that we, too, won't turn down a good glass of Tempranillo. And certainly not this Conde Pinel Tempranillo, which combines top quality with an incredibly attractive price.

The story begins in the mid-1990s. Hammeken Cellars was founded. From the very beginning, they have had a feel for the modern style of Spanish wines, without sacrificing tradition. They also have a soft spot for typical Spanish grape varieties, of which Tempranillo is the most prominent. They don't believe in geographical constraints, but with a dedicated team, they identify each grape variety's best characteristics in each location. This led them to Castilla-La Mancha, where Tempranillo thrives in the warm climate. The high quality of Conde Pinel Tempranillo is remarkable. This is largely due to the attention paid to the grapes. By planting the Tempranillo precisely where all conditions are perfect, you automatically obtain grapes of the highest quality. By harvesting and selecting the grapes manually, we ensure that only the finest grapes become part of Conde Pinel Tempranillo.

After hand-harvesting and fermentation, Conde Pinel Tempranillo reaches its icing on the cake. The precious juice is aged in oak for three months. This allows the Conde Pinel Tempranillo to develop from fruity to intense and spicy. Prepare for dark fruit, blackcurrant, wild strawberries, eucalyptus, and spices. Perfect as an aperitif, Conde Pinel Tempranillo also pairs beautifully with meat.
