Grape and vinification
Nebbiolo – Gallina, Neive
Nebbiolo is a late-ripening grape from Piedmont with high acidity and firm tannins. These characteristics ensure long aging potential and pronounced complexity in the bottle.
Vinification takes place with controlled fermentation to achieve optimal extraction of color and structure. Subsequently, the wine matures for an extended period in wood, in accordance with Barbaresco DOCG regulations, which refines the tannins and gives the wine extra depth.
Character and aging potential
In the glass, the Barbaresco Gallina displays a garnet red color with evolution as the wine ages. Typical aromas include red fruit, floral notes such as rose, spices, and subtle earthy nuances. Thanks to the combination of acidity and tannins, this wine possesses clear aging potential and continues to develop in complexity over several years.
Serve around 16–18 °C to optimally experience the balance between structure and aromatic finesse.
