The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

In the heart of the Trentino region, between the winding Adige and Noce rivers, lies the picturesque Piana Rotaliano, a fertile alluvial plain named after the exceptional Teroldego grape. The Castel Firmian Riserva Teroldego Rotaliano is the result of this unique terroir and the centuries-old bond between the Teroldego grape and Trentino. With only a few vineyards growing this expressive grape, this wine is considered a true jewel of the region.

Castel Firmian is located in Trentino, a beautiful wine region in northern Italy. The winery is named after the historic Castello di Firmiano, an imposing castle that towers over the vineyards. Castel Firmian has a long tradition of winemaking and is known for its commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Castel Firmian's winemakers cherish the region's rich winemaking history and utilize modern techniques to produce wines that reflect the essence of the land and terroir. Only the very best and ripest Teroldego grapes are carefully harvested. This is followed by traditional pulp fermentation in the winery, where the grapes are fermented at a controlled temperature of 25-27 degrees Celsius. This slow and careful fermentation ensures optimal extraction of color, aromas, and flavors from the grapes. After fermentation, the wine is aged for an impressive 24 months in oak barrels. A special aspect of the aging process is that at least 12 months are spent in precious Troncais or Allier barrels. These barrels, sourced from prestigious French oak forests, add subtle nuances of vanilla, spice, and toast to the wine, further enriching the taste experience.

Castel Firmian Riserva Teroldego Rotaliano is an Italian red wine that impresses with its refined power and intense ruby color. With every sip, you discover a multitude of flavors and aromas that beautifully intertwine. Ripe red fruit, juicy plums, and succulent blackcurrants form the foundation of this wine, while subtle hints of spice and a touch of smokiness add an exciting dimension. On the palate, this wine reveals its full and rounded character, with soft tannins and a subtle oaky note that enhances its structure. The Castel Firmian Riserva Teroldego Rotaliano surprises with its complexity and offers an unforgettable tasting experience. The finish is long and satisfying, allowing you to savor this exceptional wine for a while longer.
