The grapes for this beautiful dessert wine grow in the Penanegra vineyards. These vineyards are situated at an altitude of 910 meters and were planted in the early 1950s. So, old vines. Our experience has shown that the quality of old vines is truly phenomenal. And this is certainly true for these grapes as well. What gems of grapes! The Moscatel is planted in very sunny conditions. This is certainly important for the proper ripening of these grapes, but coolness is also important. That's why the vineyard is situated at such a high altitude. Here, there is sufficient cooling from the night and the wind that blows along the hills. This also allows the Moscatel to retain a pleasant freshness. When the grapes finally reach the right ripeness, they are harvested by hand. Only the finest grapes are selected for this wine. After pressing, alcoholic fermentation takes place in Allier oak barrels. After this, this Care Moscatel de Alejandria rests on its lees for seven months.
The result? Phenomenal! Pouring this dessert wine reveals a beautiful, intense straw yellow color with a rich golden sparkle. Nose-to-nose reveals hints of white flowers, tropical fruit, and a touch of citrus at the finish. The palate is full and creamy, with the oak aging influences pleasantly present. Delicious sweet notes of tropical fruit, vanilla, and a fresh undertone create a complete experience, making dessert a welcome accompaniment. Prefer to pair this Care dessert wine with dessert? Consider desserts featuring mango, citrus, or other tropical fruits.
