Founded in 1818, the winery has been active in South African winemaking for over two centuries. It is located in the Robertson wine region, about a two-hour drive east of the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town. The winery is still owned by the same family, the Bruwer family, who have French roots. Winemaking has always been in the blood of this enterprising family.
