The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

The pride of South Africa, Pinotage, translated into liquid perfection. That's the best way to describe Bon Courage Estate Pinotage. The quality of Pinotage is the result of over two centuries of craftsmanship. The Bon Courage winery was founded in 1818 by the Bruwer family, still run by the third generation today. The winery is located in Robertson, a beautiful wine region 150 kilometers east of the metropolitan city of Cape Town. The Bruwer family's dedication and expertise have ensured that Bon Courage wines are leading in this region of South Africa.

Pinotage is the foundation of this Bon Courage Estate Pinotage. This grape has been South Africa's hallmark since its origins in 1925. A cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault, it was born at Stellenbosch Wine University. Almost a century later, this grape has conquered the world. Wine lovers everywhere are charmed by Pinotage's rich character. Bon Courage has also planted numerous vineyards with Pinotage. After harvest and vinification, Bon Courage Estate Pinotage is aged for 12 to 15 months in French oak barrels. All this combined makes this Bon Courage red wine a crowd-pleaser.

Your senses will be captivated by the high quality of Bon Courage Estate Pinotage. Beautiful and sensational. Successful down to the last drop. The nose reveals complex notes of ripe banana, mulberries, and plums. But with a skilled nose, you'll also discover nuances of vanilla and coffee. You'll want to take a sip. You'll get thirsty. Take a sip, and you'll immediately drift away. A soft and lush flavor palette unfolds on the palate. Candied fruit, herbs and spices, but also ripe banana and plums. The silky finish of Bon Courage Estate Pinotage is striking.
