The vineyards for this wine are located in the fertile region of Puglia, where the warm Mediterranean climate and chalky soils contribute to grapes of exceptional quality. The unique name "Doppio Passo" refers to the special harvesting method: the grapes are picked in two phases. The first harvest imparts freshness and structure, while the second harvest produces concentrated sugars and intense aromas. After fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, adding to its complexity.
This wine is best served at a temperature of 16-18°C. The Doppio Passo Primitivo pairs beautifully with grilled or braised meats, rich pasta dishes, and aged cheeses. It's also a perfect match for game dishes and spicy stews.
