The white Gruner Veltliner grape is particularly popular in this region, and it is the winery's primary focus. This grape is so popular that more than half of all the family-run wines are made from this distinctive variety. At the Kittmannsberg vineyard, the careful cultivation of the Grüner Veltliner grape is elevated to an art form. Steininger Grüner Veltliner Kittmannsberg Reserve has a bright, pale yellow color. It boasts delicate aromas of acacia flowers and white pepper. This grand Grüner Veltliner has a striking minerality; it is rich and complex on the palate, with an intense and powerful flavor of dried fruit, minerals, and very clean acidity. The palate concludes with a long finish. Steininger Grüner Veltliner Kittmansberg Reserve is delicious with white meat, poultry, sweetbreads, fish dishes, and light oriental dishes.
