Vintage Report

The rich history of Prunotto Barolo began with a modest cooperative, Cantina Sociale "Ai Vini delle Langhe." Despite the uncertain times and challenges, Alfredo Prunotto was undeterred. In 1904, he transformed this cooperative into an independent winery, named Prunotto. This decision sparked a wave of success, as Prunotto Barolo was immediately recognized as a wine of exceptional quality. When it was time for Alfredo to step back, the Antinoris saw the potential and took over the helm of this renowned winery. With their expertise, Prunotto Barolo reached new culinary heights.

Prunotto Barolo: Masterpiece from the Heart of Barolo

In their quest for perfection, Prunotto invested significantly in their facilities, and in 1972 they unveiled a state-of-the-art winery designed by Ugo della Piana, a proud Piedmont native. Nestled amidst lush vineyards near Alba, this site remains a center of innovation and tradition for Prunotto Barolo. This exceptional wine, produced since 1905, pays tribute to the essence of the Barolo appellation. Thanks to careful aging for 18 months in oak barrels, Prunotto Barolo reveals the full richness and character of the Nebbiolo grape.

Prunotto Barolo: A Symphony of Taste and Aroma

Each bottle of Prunotto Barolo is a visual treat, with its signature pale red hue and subtle brownish edges. Once opened, the air is filled with an enchanting blend of rose petals, ripe red fruit, and spicy undertones. But it's the palate that truly captivates; Prunotto Barolo is rich, with velvety tannins, balancing sweet red fruit, spicy notes, vanilla, and a hint of cedar. Swirl the wine for layers of blueberry, vanilla, and licorice. Prunotto Barolo is undeniably a powerful, elegant red wine.

Prunotto Barolo: An Ode to Italian Winemaking

With every sip of Prunotto Barolo, you're immersed in the rich history and passion behind this exceptional wine. From the meticulously maintained vineyards to the skilled hands that create each bottle, Prunotto Barolo is the pinnacle of Italian winemaking.
