Vintage Report

2021 was een buitengewone jaargang voor Piemonte, beoordeeld met 96 punten door Robert Parker. De omstandigheden waren ideaal, wat resulteerde in evenwichtige en rijpingswaardige wijnen.
Prunotto, a winery that harmoniously blends the past and the present, has roots dating back to 1904. Beginning as the wine cooperative "Ai Vini delle Langhe," it was founded by the visionary Giacomo Oddero and his partner Alfredo Prunotto. After a series of challenges, during which many winegrowers withdrew their support, the duo found themselves at a crossroads. However, after the loving encounter between Alfredo Prunotto and Luigina, the couple took the helm, renamed the winery Prunotto, and began their journey. With unwavering dedication and burning passion, they put Prunotto Barbaresco and Barolo on the map worldwide. The modern-day brilliance and quality of Prunotto Barbaresco are the result of their years of investment and determination.

Prunotto's Barbaresco Vineyard: A Symbol of Tradition

1972 marked a new milestone for Prunotto with the construction of a winery designed by the talented architect Ugo della Piana. Located near the picturesque town of Alba, in the heart of Piedmont, Prunotto's headquarters remain there to this day. Over the years, with the involvement of the renowned Antinori family, Prunotto's Barbaresco has benefited from shared expertise. Under the Antinori's guidance, the quality of Prunotto Barbaresco has reached new heights. Sourced from meticulously maintained vineyards in Treiso and Neive, Prunotto Barbaresco offers a refined interpretation of the Nebbiolo grape, with each bunch hand-picked and selected.

Wood and Time: The Secret of Prunotto Barbaresco

After careful harvesting, the grapes are gently crushed and destemmed, allowing them to mature. Twelve months of oak aging transforms Prunotto Barbaresco into a wine with depth, character, and a soft allure. In the glass, Prunotto Barbaresco reveals an enchanting ruby red hue with orange highlights. Its bouquet seduces the senses with rich aromas of red fruit and subtle spicy notes. Every sip of Prunotto Barbaresco is a harmony of fullness and velvety nuances, culminating in an impressively lingering finish.

Prunotto Barbaresco: The Fruit of Passion and Devotion

The story of Prunotto Barbaresco is one of determination, love, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence. From its historic roots to its modern-day triumphs, every bottle of Prunotto Barbaresco is a celebration of the art of winemaking. Let yourself be transported on a journey of flavor and tradition with Prunotto Barbaresco.
