The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

The island shines in all its glory. This grape, powerful and full of character, captures the essence of Sicily in every glass. And Pellegrino's Cardilla Nero D'Avola? It's a party in your glass, an Italian red wine that makes your taste buds dance with joy!

Carlo Pellegrino is more than just a name in the wine world; it's a symbol of Sicilian wine excellence. For generations, this winery has put Sicily on the map with its exquisite wines. Thanks to their dedication and passion, Sicilian wines have earned a well-deserved place in the hearts of wine lovers worldwide. Since 1880, when the Pellegrino family began their wine journey, they have not only perfected the art of crafting Marsala wines but also extended their expertise to still wines. And it is the indigenous grape varieties that truly shine in Pellegrino's vineyards.

Every glass of Cardilla Nero D'Avola Pellegrino is a tribute to craftsmanship. The scorching Sicilian summers, where the sun shines mercilessly, are a blessing for the Nero D'Avola grape. This heat allows the grape to develop its unique acidity and flavors. After harvest, the grapes are carefully pressed and the wine is aged in oak for about six months, followed by another six months of rest in the bottle. The result? A wine with a rich palette: from distinct oak notes to juicy forest fruits and a hint of toasted almonds. The Cardilla Nero D'Avola Pellegrino is a harmonious blend of fruity and spicy notes, a true treat for any wine lover!
