The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

The latest sensation from the magnificent Laurent Miquel. This winery has existed for several centuries, but has only dominated the inland region of Béziers, a city roughly located between Montpellier and Carcassonne, for about 50 years. While Laurent Miquel has historically focused primarily on Syrah and Viognier (its Viognier was recognized as the best Viognier in the world in 2010), the winery is taking a different approach with this Auzines Languedoc Laurent Miquel Red. A perfect blend of three red grape varieties that are highly regarded in the Languedoc region.

This chateau was only purchased in 2009 by Laurent and Neasa Miquel, who represent the 8th generation. However, they have not been idle. Where previously the white Auzines and Rosé Auzines were acclaimed, it is now time for Auzines Languedoc Laurent Miquel Red. The current winemakers wanted to create an accessible wine that showcases the best the Languedoc has to offer. The grapes are grown entirely organically, making the most of what nature has to offer. It is precisely the ideal conditions of this region that will later reveal the true, high-quality character of the grapes for Auzines Languedoc Laurent Miquel Red.

Auzines Languedoc Laurent Miquel Red uses three top grapes from the South of France. Carignan, Cisault, and Grenache are three completely different grapes, yet each lends its own distinct character to this red wine. Carignan provides the necessary body. Cinsault, known for its frequent use in rosé wines, adds softness and suppleness to Auzines Languedoc Laurent Miquel Red. Finally, Grenache adds just the right amount of fruit to this French success. With every sip, you'll be captivated by one of these three grape varieties.

This wine seems to have it all. Intense and aromatic, yet also fruity and incredibly fresh. The best you can find in your wine cellar. The nose suggests a concentrated red wine, but don't be fooled. As soon as you take a sip of Auzines Languedoc Laurent Miquel Red, you'll taste approachability, fruit, fresh notes, but above all, a simply delicious wine. Fresh red and black berries dominate the palate. Truly a perfect wine. Enjoy Auzines Languedoc Laurent Miquel Red as an aperitif or with game or Asian dishes.
