The winery has built an impressive reputation in just thirty years. The architecture alone is sensational. A special feature of this winery is the cellar, where the wine is aged in a circle. The cellars of Bodega Salentein are reminiscent of an amphitheater. Especially in the Netherlands, partly due to Mijndert Pon's roots, Bodega Salentein is highly regarded and has been among the top Argentine wines for years. Salentein Primus Malbec is perhaps the most beautiful of all these wines!

The pride of Argentine wine

Malbec is a true Argentine. It's a beloved grape variety, grown primarily in Argentina. This robust grape is perfectly suited to Argentina's temperamental climate. Malbec thrives particularly well on the rocky soil. The grapes for Salentein Primus Malbec are grown only in select plots and are only produced in the best years. Therefore, the availability of Salentein Primus Malbec is limited! After harvest, the grapes are fermented in wooden barrels. The oak aging is extremely long: 19 months in new oak. Because the oak is new, it releases a wealth of flavor. The wine is bottled unfiltered and matured in the bottle for a further 12 months.
