Salentein Gran Vu Blend is a perfect blend of two well-known Argentinian grape varieties. Malbec (73%) plays a leading role, but don't underestimate the role of Cabernet Sauvignon (27%). The grapes are grown in the specialized vineyards of Bodega Salentein, of which the estate boasts many. The grapes are grown in La Pampa and El Oasis, two beautiful vineyards with a high limestone and rock content, which benefits the quality of the grapes. The grapes are fermented separately in 225-liter barrels. The wine is then blended and aged for a further 24 (!) months in new French oak.
We're incredibly enthusiastic about Salentein Gran Vu Blend and can't wait to share our enthusiasm. But not only us, but also several leading trade magazines, competitions, and wine journalists are fans of this top wine from Bodega Salentein. Tim Atkin, for example, awarded the wine 90 points, and Salentein Gran Vu Blend received 93 points from Wine Enthusiast. Harold Hamersma, the Netherlands' most renowned wine journalist, gave this Salentein a remarkable 9- in the most recent edition of De Grote Hamersma.
This red wine will truly delight your senses. Beautiful aromas unfold on both the nose and the taste buds. You'll discover black fruit like blackberries and dark berries. Spices like licorice and a hint of menthol are also characteristic of Salentein Gran Vu Blend. A touch of warm cherry is evident thanks to the presence of Cabernet Sauvignon. Expert palates will detect nuances of licorice and a hint of minerality. Salentein Gran Vu Blend is truly the flagship wine of Bodega Salentein.
