From vineyard to bottle

The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

When wine lovers hear the name "Amarone," their hearts start beating faster. And when we talk about the Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Magnum, things really get exciting. This special 1.5-liter bottle contains a wine that will amaze both connoisseurs and newcomers to the world of wine. It's almost unbelievable how Zenato managed to create such an exquisite Amarone, and in such a large format! The Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Magnum is perhaps one of the best in terms of value. But it's good to know that this royal wine, hailing from the Veneto region, isn't produced every year. Only grapes from the most exquisite harvests are selected for the Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Magnum.

Going back to 1960, we find the origins of the prestigious Zenato winery. Sergio Zenato, with his unstoppable drive and vision, began experimenting with new winemaking techniques. He focused his attention on indigenous vines to produce the very best wines. Zenato's idyllic vineyards, nestled in the hills surrounding Lake Garda, enjoy dry soil and temperate temperatures. Each grape is carefully hand-picked and undergoes a strict selection process. Today, Zenato's passion is continued by Sergio's children, who produce top-quality wines with the same dedication. Thanks in part to their efforts, the Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Magnum has earned a special place in the hearts of many.

The Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Magnum undergoes an impressive 30-month aging in oak barrels. This exquisite wine is then bottled for another 12 months in Zenato's cellars. Upon opening the bottle, we are overwhelmed by delightful aromas of blackberries, ripe plums, cherries, currants, vanilla, and cocoa. Upon tasting, we experience a velvety-smooth palate, comparable to the comfort of a luxurious duvet. A true treat for the taste buds. For us, it's clear: the Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Magnum deserves no less than 100 points!

The Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Magnum is undoubtedly one of the "kings" of Italian wines. But with which dishes does such a majestic wine pair perfectly? This wine pairs perfectly with dishes like venison steak. Its rich flavor profile forms a harmonious whole with game dishes, especially venison steak. Other red meat dishes and aged cheeses, such as an authentic Italian Pecorino, also pair wonderfully with this wine. And if you want to enjoy the Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Magnum solo, it's absolutely a treat in itself.
