The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

Let the party begin! Complete with streamers and balloons. Because this is such a fantastic wine. A sensational dessert wine, from the Primitivo di Manduria appellation. This appellation is located in the Taranto region, part of Puglia, around the famous town of Manduria. Primitivo di Manduria is best known for its powerful, dry red wines. However, San Marzano has a wonderful dessert wine from this region. 11 Filari Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale is a fantastic dessert wine, which has been one of the best-selling Italian dessert wines in our range for years.

Beautiful. Phenomenal. Irresistible. Nothing but superlatives from our vinologists for this 11 Filari Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturel from the Italian winery San Marzano. Harvest takes place incredibly late, in the first half of October. This allows the grapes to overripe, developing the sweet character of 11 Filari from San Marzano. After the harvest, and the rigorous selection process, the grapes are fermented. This Italian wine then matures for an impressive 12 months in French and American oak barrels in the San Marzano cellars. This oak aging, in part, makes this stunning San Marzano wine truly special and delicious!

A word of warning: 11 Filari Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale San Marzano will win you over. After a single sip, you'll never want anything else. A beautiful dessert wine that translates San Marzano's craftsmanship into a fantastic bottle. The aroma of 11 Filari Primitivo di Manduria is sensational. You smell ripe fruit reminiscent of cherry jam and dried figs. The taste is sublime, almost perfection. Mouth-filling. Powerful. Smooth. Red fruit, currants, chocolate, honey, and a hint of spice. The flavor palette is broad and balanced. The characteristic sweetness of a dessert wine is present, but never becomes too heavy. A favorite to end any dinner with!
