RoseBlood D'Estoublon Rosé is a stylish Provence rosé from the hinterland of Château d’Estoublon, crafted with the elegant, fresh, and refined signature that defines the estate. The wine hails from Coteaux Varois en Provence, a higher-altitude origin where limestone-rich soils and mineral tension are key to the style. This is not a simple summer rosé, but a modern, gastronomic rosé with floral notes, peach, citrus, red fruit, and a long, saline finish.
RoseBlood comes from Coteaux Varois en Provence, in the interior of Provence.
Location / Origin: The wine originates from the PDO Coteaux Varois en Provence. This origin is situated in the Provençal hinterland and gives RoseBlood its fresh, refined style with clear mineral tension.
Altitude: The vineyards are located at an altitude of 350–400 m. This higher elevation helps maintain freshness and aromatic precision in a sunny region like Provence.
Soil: The soil consists of clay limestone, red earth, and areas with gravel and flint. Clay provides some roundness, while limestone and flint ensure tension, length, and a subtle mineral touch.
Terroir: RoseBlood is positioned within the Limestone Provence. That limestone-rich character is important for the wine's fresh backbone and saline finish.
Vinification focuses on finesse, light color, and fresh aromatic precision.
Pressing: The grapes are pressed directly. This keeps the color pale and elegant, with soft rosé tones rather than deep extraction.
Fermentation: Alcoholic fermentation takes place at cool temperatures. What does cold fermentation do? A low fermentation temperature helps preserve clear floral aromas, citrus fruit, and fresh red fruit.
Maturation / Wood treatment: The wine is vinified and matured in stainless steel and concrete vats, followed by several weeks of aging on the fine lees. This lees aging provides extra texture and length, while the steel and concrete keep the wine crisp, pure, and fresh.
Alcohol content: At 12.5% alcohol, this rosé remains elegant and drinkable, with enough body to work well at the table.
The blend consists of classic Provençal grapes, supplemented with Rolle for extra freshness and floral tension.
Grenache – Coteaux Varois en Provence: Grenache gives the wine roundness, softness, and subtle notes of red fruit.
Syrah – Coteaux Varois en Provence: Syrah brings structure, color, and a slightly spicy undertone to the blend.
Cinsault – Coteaux Varois en Provence: Cinsault provides finesse, suppleness, and an elegant fruit expression.
Rolle – Coteaux Varois en Provence: Rolle provides fresh tension, citrus, floral notes, and extra length to the finish.
