Respect for the land and nature is paramount. This red wine is a delicious, full-bodied wine from the Languedoc wine region. Vines have been grown here for centuries. The quality has improved significantly in recent years. These improvements are primarily due to separate vinification. This has earned the region worldwide recognition as a producer of full-bodied, structured wines.
This red wine is made from 80 percent Syrah grapes and 20 percent Grenache. This combination creates a pleasant yet challenging red wine. To maximize fruit quality, the grapes are harvested at night with strict selection of the ripe fruit. After a long, temperature-controlled fermentation in tanks, 20 percent of the wine is aged for three months in American oak barrels.
Laurent Miquel Père et Fils Syrah Grenache is a deep ruby-red wine with an inviting aroma of ripe red fruit and hints of pepper and licorice. The well-structured palate offers a beautiful balance between soft tannins and ripe fruit, with a delicate, light spiciness and a hint of vanilla. The wine then finishes with a pleasantly surprising, long finish. Syrah Grenache is a highly characterful wine that makes a wonderful aperitif and pairs beautifully with (grilled) meat and game dishes, spicy dishes, and mature cheeses.
