Although Meindert is no longer with us, his philosophical vision of winemaking, respect for the local community, and love of nature remain at the heart of Salentein.

With vineyards rich in history and populated by old vines, Salentein has a natural advantage. Situated at an altitude of 1200 meters, these vineyards enjoy the ideal balance of sun-drenched days and refreshing nights. It is precisely these old vines that give Salentein wines their characteristic depth and complexity. The carefully selected Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for Salentein Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon are lovingly harvested by hand, with only the finest fruit chosen. After rigorous post-harvest selection, this wine undergoes masterful vinification, followed by a year of aging in French oak barrels, adding even more depth and refinement.
