A beautiful red wine that perfectly emphasizes the island's character and uniqueness. An island rich in culture and nature; a true tourist hotspot. However, many forget the splendor of its wines. Once you discover Sardinian wines, you'll never want anything else.

The vineyards of Saragat Cannonau di Sardegna

Cannonau is a true grape variety, serving Sardinian viticulture. Approximately 35% of the island's 19,000 hectares of vineyards are planted with this local favorite. Incidentally, this grape is known in France as Grenache. The Sardinian variety is more vibrant and distinctive, partly due to the island's distinctive character. Saragat Winery is part of the vast Farnese Vini winery. This winery doesn't offer classics from Veneto, Piedmont, or Tuscany. Farnese Vini focuses on the southern Italian provinces and the islands. Thanks in part to this winery, Tuscan viticulture has also flourished, as Sardinia had a somewhat questionable reputation until the 1980s. A huge amount of wine was produced under the banner of quality. Since the 1980s, there has been a greater focus on quality. The acreage has been reduced, and plantings have been given more attention. Sardinian wines have now become a favorite of many wine connoisseurs.
