Altitud wines are characterized by a tightly woven structure with diverse aromatic potential. Aging in French oak barrels for twelve months gives the wines depth, complexity, and balance. This Malbec boasts a broad aroma palette and a lively palate with a long finish. It is a remarkable Malbec.

Andeluna's 70 hectares of vineyards

The name "Andeluna" is a combination of "Ande"—which represents the Andes, the mountains, the earth, and the people—and "Luna," a place of magic and inspiration from the moon. Andeluna Cellars' vineyards literally reach for the sky at an altitude of 1,300 meters in the Tupungato Valley, at the foot of the Andes. The ultramodern, well-equipped and designed winery covers approximately 70 hectares. The Andeluna winery was only established in 2003. Visionary and businessman H. Ward Lay purchased the property in the Uco Valley and retained the excellent old vines. As diverse as the Andeluna Cellars wines are, their character is uncompromising, impressive, and delicious. Thanks in no small part to the meticulous care and selection during production, the entire Reserve and Grand Reserve range enjoys a high reputation worldwide.

18 months of wood aging for the Altitud Malbec

This Altitud Malbec is a luxurious, extravagant wine made from grapes grown at an altitude of over 1,500 meters above sea level. The wine is aged in French oak for approximately 12 to 18 months in the Andeluna cellars. And the result is truly impressive. In the glass, this Altitud Malbec is an intense red with a light violet sheen. On the nose, this Altitud Malbec offers notes of leather and dark fruit such as blackberry, cherry, and plum. The palate experiences spicy notes full of ripe fruit yet retains a fresh finish. A sublime wine with a complex structure combined with fine yet powerful aromas.
