The 2022 vintage in Northern Italy is characterized by excellent quality with a score of 91 points. The wines are currently still youthful and possess a good structure for further development.
Groppello grapes are grown in a beautiful, historic setting. The wine is named after the historic church of San Biagio. It's a robust, fruity red wine that beautifully reflects the terroir. Imagine yourself transported to sun-drenched Italy with this balanced red Groppello San Biagio wine.

Quality wines from Selva Capuzza

The Selva Capuzza estate is one of the few wineries that produces in three different DOCs. They own vineyards in Lugana, San Martino della Battaglia, and Garda. Each wine is produced naturally under the strict supervision of winemaker and owner Luca Formentini. You won't find just any Merlot or Chardonnay grapes planted here. They work exclusively with local grapes: Turbiana and Tuchì for whites and Gropello, Sangiovese, Barbera, and Marzemino for reds. Yields are deliberately kept low, as quality is paramount. This results in juicy and concentrated wines with beautiful characteristics. The grapes are grown on the beautiful hills south of Lake Garda. At peak ripeness, they are hand-picked and taken directly to the winery. Here, the grapes are gently pressed, after which alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperatures. The wine is aged for six months in stainless steel tanks before bottling. Finally, it is bottle-aged for another six months before release.

Notes of red berries and raspberries blend with the aromas of pepper and cinnamon. Delightfully sweet and fruity. The palate is beautifully balanced with red fruit on one side and delightful acidity on the other. The fruity notes lead to a fresh and spicy finish.
