Finca La Montesa is located in the Rioja region, also the birthplace of the winery's founder. Finca La Montesa Reserva Seleccion Especial uses one of the Iberian Peninsula's local heroes: Garnacha. This Spanish equivalent of Grenache Noir is grown in specially selected vineyards at Finca La Montesa, ensuring this red wine develops a unique aroma.

The Garnacha wine from Alvaro Palacios

Wine flows through Alvaro Palacios' veins; this man has been in contact with wine since birth. He was born on a wine estate in the Rioja region. Even in his early years, it was clear he would have a brilliant career in wine. He went on to study at the most prestigious university for oenology: the University of Bordeaux. He then interned at the majestic Château Pétrus, among others. Upon his return, he founded the winery that bears his name, which quickly made significant strides in Spanish wine. He now owns dazzling vineyards in Priorat and Bierzo. However, the cobbler sticks to his last, and the Rioja vineyards remain his most striking feature.
