Bodegas Anadas CARE Garnacha Blanca Nativa, DO Cariñena, Aragón, Spain
Bodegas Anadas CARE Garnacha Blanca Nativa 2025 is a white wine from DO Cariñena and shows that Garnacha excels not only as a red grape. What characterizes Garnacha Blanca from Cariñena? The grape combines aromatic richness with structure, especially when it comes from poor, rocky soils, as is the case here.
The wine is part of the CARE project, where CARE refers to the ancient Roman name for Cariñena and to the care with which the winery approaches every step from vineyard to vinification.
Origin: DO Cariñena, Aragón
The vineyards are located in Aragón within the DO Cariñena.
-
DO Cariñena, Aragón: historic Spanish appellation with a sunny climate.
-
Rocky and poor soil: promotes low yields and concentration.
-
Planting density of 4,000 vines per hectare: focused on quality.
These conditions give Garnacha Blanca extra structure and intensity.
Grape and vinification
Garnacha Blanca – DO Cariñena, Aragón
Garnacha Blanca is the white variant of Garnacha and is known for its aromatic power and round texture.
The grapes undergo a cold maceration of approximately 18 hours with skin contact to extract aromas. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in conical stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures between 15 and 18 °C. Subsequently, the wine matures for two months in French oak barrels.
Character and style
In the glass, this Garnacha Blanca Nativa shows a straw-yellow color. On the nose, you'll find a wide range of flowers, aromatic herbs, citrus, and notes of ripe exotic fruit. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with a slightly oily structure and a balanced feel. The finish is elegant and persistent.
Serve around 10–12 °C to best appreciate its freshness and texture.
