Ventisquero: Pioneer in Sustainable Winegrowing

Founded by the visionary Gonzalo Vial, the driving force behind Chile's largest food giant, Agrosuper, Ventisquero has quickly established itself as a leader in sustainable wine production. The winery holds the honor of receiving the first "Sustainable Wine of Chile" green certification, underscoring its commitment to environmentally friendly practices. From water conservation to reducing its carbon footprint, Ventisquero is committed to a harmonious relationship with nature. Furthermore, all wines are sourced from their own vineyards, ensuring consistent quality and sustainable practices. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand, with only the finest bunches selected. These are then carefully transferred to tanks, where they benefit from a slow aging process. This results in wines with a fresh flavor, lively acidity, and moderate alcohol. After careful fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the Ventisquero GREY Merlot is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, followed by an additional eight months of bottle aging.
