What a fantastic blend this Zipolo from the Il Conte Villa Prandone winery is! The blend consists of 15 percent Sangiovese, 70 percent Montepulciano, and 15 percent Merlot. A beautiful combination of grapes that complement each other perfectly. The result is a complex wine with pleasant aromas and a full flavor.

Il Conte Villa Prandone, located in the Marche region of Italy, is renowned for its production of exquisite wines made from local grape varieties. With years of experience and a passion for winemaking, the winery combines modern technology with traditional methods to create unique and outstanding wines. Nestled in the hills of the Piceno region, Il Conte Villa Prandone's vineyards contain local grape varieties, including Passerina and Montepulciano, and are carefully managed to reflect the characteristics of the region and ensure the quality of the grapes. The vinification process begins with the gentle pressing of the selected grapes. Slow fermentation then takes place for 15 to 25 days at a controlled temperature of 22 to 28 degrees Celsius. After fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels for 16 to 24 months, which contributes to the wine's complexity and flavor. Finally, the wine is aged in the bottle for 12 months, further developing and enhancing its character. This process guarantees a high-quality wine with a balanced flavor profile.

Il Conte Villa Prandone Zipolo is a powerful and complex red wine with notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and blackberry. The aroma is intense and contains subtle hints of pepper and spice. The palate is full and rounded, with a firm tannic structure and a pleasant finish. The fruitiness and acidity are in perfect harmony, resulting in a balanced and pleasant taste. This wine reflects the quality and character of the grapes and the Marche region. Il Conte Villa Prandone Zipolo pairs well with a wide variety of dishes, including rich pasta, robust cheeses, and grilled meats.

Vintage 2020
