The 2021 vintage in Southern Italy was of excellent quality, with wines displaying impressive structure and concentration. The highest scores indicate a year with an excellent balance between ripe fruit and refined tannins.

Epicuro was one of the first high-quality wineries from Puglia to reach the general public. They're still incredibly proud of that achievement. To honor this achievement, they created this Cuvée Rosso. A full-bodied red wine that translates the power of Puglian wines into a superb glass of wine. Beautiful aromas tantalize your taste buds. Think plump plums, slightly tart cherries, and spicy spices. The finish of this anniversary wine has both intense and smooth notes. Limited availability, so be quick!

Epicuro wine from Puglia

Epicuro wines are made by Femar Vini, a winery with its origins just outside Rome. It was founded by Armando Merge, and his son Felice has since taken over the family business. This also marked the transition to Puglia. This region was previously relatively unknown to winemakers; it was primarily a relatively poor part of Italy. However, a few bold movers, including the Merge family, took the plunge. This gives Epicuro access to some of Puglia's finest vineyards, which are still maintained under the family's strict supervision.

The Epicuro wines were a hit. Dutch consumers, in particular, fell in love with the simple yet perfectly structured wines Epicuro created. After forty years, we can finally enjoy this Cuvée Rosso. A true spectacle, where the family's pride is clearly evident. The grapes, Negroamaro and Syrah, come from specially selected vineyards and are hand-harvested. The blend? That's a closely guarded secret of the winemaker. Only one thing is certain: Cuvée Rosso is incredibly delicious.
