The ultramodern Gayda winery is located near the city of Carcassonne. Their adventure began here in 2003 when Tim Ford and Anthony Record joined forces with the young winemaker Vincent Chansault. Sixty percent of the grapes used for their wines come from their own vineyards. The remaining forty percent come primarily from old vines grown by winegrowers in various regions of the Langeudoc-Roussillon region.

Quality wines from Gayda

Gayda's bottles are instantly striking thanks to their beautiful, detailed design. The Flying Solo series is a tribute to the French airmail pilots who, starting in 1918, flew solo from Toulouse to Spain. Gayda believes they are also flying solo in their approach to winemaking. And in a way, they are. At Gayda, they create unique blends you wouldn't expect in the Languedoc region of France. This makes the wines unique and, thanks to their deep passion for traditional winemaking, also of exceptionally high quality. With this Flying Solo Rosé, the quality of the grapes is paramount. And this applies to all of Gayda's wines, too. They use state-of-the-art equipment and techniques. The grapes are organically grown and hand-harvested only when they are fully ripe. This results in richer flavors and beautifully expressed, round and soft tannins. After harvest, the grapes are cooled and processed. The blend consists of 50 percent Grenache and 50 percent Cinsault. The vines are planted in limestone vineyards with clay soil. The wine is then aged on the lees for three months.

The smell and taste of Flying Solo Grenache Cinsault Rosé

The Granache Cinsault Rosé has a beautiful light pink color in the glass. Aromas of wild strawberries and raspberries are immediately released upon pouring. The palate is juicy and fresh with lovely, lively acidity. It is round and has a pleasantly dry style. This rosé is ideal as an aperitif, but also pairs well with light fish dishes or a salad.
