What an incredibly delicious Chardonnay! The grapes for this Collection wine are grown in two different locations. One part comes from the Malapere region, where the estate is also located. The soil there is primarily sandy. The other part comes from the Minervois region, where the grapes benefit from limestone soil. The two different vineyards and soil structures create a special Chardonnay with a unique character.
The success of the Gayda wine estate
Gayda lies at the foot of the Pyrenees, in Brugairolles, in the Languedoc region. Founded in 2004, the Gayda winery has established itself as one of the finest estates in the Languedoc region. This success is largely due to winemaker Vincent Chansault. Traditional winemaking is combined with the latest techniques. Each plot is vinified separately, later to form a beautiful blend. The vineyards are farmed organically, and yields are deliberately kept low. This is the only way Gayda can deliver the highest quality. The harvest is done entirely by hand, after which the grapes are transported to the winery in small 20-kilo crates. Here, the grapes are hand-selected and slowly transferred to tanks using gravity. After pressing, 20 percent of the wine ferments in oak barrels, and the remaining juice in stainless steel vats. Finally, the wine is aged on the lees for six months.Enjoy the slightly exotic Chardonnay
The Chardonnay is a light golden yellow. The nose offers subtle aromas of white fruit, fresh butter, and a light toast. It also has a touch of the exotic, with hints of green melon and honey. The palate is soft and broad. A true crowd-pleaser with a fresh, vibrant finish.Product details
