Tschida Angerhof Beerenauslese is a sweet red wine produced in the Austrian region of Burgenland from Blaufränkisch and Rössler grapes. The wine is characterized by pleasantly fresh aromas, a soft structure, and subtle sweetness.
Manual harvest for Tschida BA Red
The Tschida family winery has existed since 1982. Full-time wine production has been underway since 1993. Today, the winery covers 40 hectares of vineyards. Seventy percent of the area is used for growing white grape varieties. The wines obtained from these are largely processed into sweet wines. For years, the winery has strived to produce the highest quality grapes from the current vintage. The goal is pure quality: from care in the vineyard to harvesting and pressing, to the careful and prolonged aging of the wines. The elegant Beerenauslese Red from Austria is a single-varietal wine made from the Blaufränkisch grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Burgenland, where the vines dig their roots deep into the soil of sand, volcanic rock, and black earth. The grapes are hand-harvested and brought directly to the winery. Here, they undergo a rigorous selection on the sorting table. Fermentation then follows in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Fermentation is followed by aging on the lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled. The fruity character of Tschida BA Red
The BA Red hues dark red in the glass. On the nose, we detect notes of blackcurrant, blueberry, and mulberry. The fruity components of the bouquet are accompanied by cinnamon, oriental spices, and vanilla. It has an incredibly fruity palate, which is, of course, also due to the residual sweetness. The texture of this dessert wine is wonderfully dense. It is fresh and lively, with a lovely length. Here, we again find hints of blueberry and mulberry. Mineral notes are added on the finish, thanks to the soils dominated by sand and volcanic rock.Product details
