The Syrah grapes are harvested entirely by hand at peak ripeness. Only the finest grapes are selected to create the finest El Castilla Syrah. Each bunch is meticulously inspected for any imperfections and carefully placed in small crates. In the winery, the grapes are crushed to release the juice. The juice is then transferred to wooden barrels, where it ages for at least six months. The use of wooden barrels contributes to the development of complex flavors and aromas in the wine.
This El Castilla Syrah has a wonderful aroma! The moment you open the bottle, the beautiful bouquet greets you. Lovely notes of blackberries and ripe cherries complemented by light spices, a touch of black pepper, and a hint of licorice.
