This gem from Weingut Von Winning is truly a top-notch wine in every respect. Pfalz is naturally perfectly situated for its climate; it's not called the Burgundy of Germany for nothing. The winery is located in Deidesheim, the heart of the famous Weinstrasse. Just north, you'll find the tiny village of Forst. However, this location is considered the very best in all of Palatinate and Germany. Perhaps even the best in all of Europe. Here, Von Winning has a small vineyard of just 0.25 hectares. This is considered the paradise of German wines. The terroir is unique; in prehistoric times, it was a coral reef. Combined with red sandstone and basalt, Von Winning has a truly unique piece of Palatinate at its disposal.

Weingut Von Winning has a long history, with the Riesling grape as a common thread. For Von Winning MarMar, Riesling is also planted in the unique vineyard, which boasts a special microclimate. Yields are scarce; after the harvest, only three 500-liter barrels are filled. Von Winning MarMar boasts plenty of unique features. For example, the grapes ferment spontaneously in wooden barrels. After fermentation, the precious juice matures for an impressive 24 months on its own lees. It is precisely for this reason that this Von Winning MarMar acquires its distinctive aroma and flavor.
