Vintage Report
The 2022 vintage in Chianti Classico received an excellent score of 92 points. The wines are described as still tannic and youthful, indicating excellent aging potential.
Viticcio's origins lie deep in the Chianti Classico region, where it created its very first and most historic wine label. This wine, with its vibrant red hue, offers a bouquet of aromas: red fruit, plums, and violets, complemented by hints of tobacco, graphite, and toasted oak. The base is the Sangiovese grape, carefully selected from Viticcio's own vineyards, with a touch of Merlot to enrich the flavor.
Greve in Chianti: The Heart of Chianti Classico
Greve in Chianti is central to Chianti Classico wine production. Nestled around the Greve River, this region is a crucial wine-producing area stretching from Florence to just north of Siena. Viticcio boasts three prominent vineyards here: Mezzola, Colognole, and Belvedere, which together cover twenty-eight hectares. Thanks to the ideal climate, with moderate temperatures and distinct temperature fluctuations between day and night, the grapes here can develop intense aromas and flavors, giving the wines an extra dimension. Chianti Classico Viticcio is meticulously produced. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks with strict temperature control, and the wine is then aged in medium-sized oak barrels for approximately 12 months. Before release, the wine rests for at least another three months in temperature-controlled rooms.Taste the Richness of Viticcio Chianti Classico
The Viticcio Chianti Classico is a visual delight with its deep ruby red color. The aroma is a rich blend of red fruit, plums, violets, and tobacco. On the palate, it's a full-bodied wine with a firm structure, complemented by balanced tannins and spicy thyme notes. The flavor is further enhanced by refreshing acidity and a lingering finish with enticing cocoa undertones. A wine that continues to captivate with every sip!Product details
