From vineyard to bottle

The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

In the world of Italian wines, one star shines particularly brightly: Masseria dei Carmelitani Gavi di Gavi. This wine, carefully crafted from the delicate white Cortese grapes, exudes the character and soul of the historic vineyards in the ancient Cortese region. When we think of an authentic terroir wine, we immediately think of Masseria dei Carmelitani Gavi di Gavi. It is in the firm limestone soils and milder climate that our Cortese grapes find their full expression, resulting in a wine that celebrates tradition and craftsmanship.

Our pride, Masseria dei Carmelitani Gavi di Gavi, has roots deeply rooted in the history of the Terre da Vino winery. This magnificent estate, covering 25 hectares, nestles in the picturesque hills of the Lemme's left bank. It was once the pride of the Carmelites in the 14th century, monks who devoted their craftsmanship and passion to cultivating the surrounding lands. They were renowned for their exquisite white wine, a tradition we continue at Terre da Vino. We are not only red wine enthusiasts, but our Masseria dei Carmelitani Gavi di Gavi demonstrates our mastery of the art of white wine as well. Only the finest grape bunches, carefully selected after harvest, are allowed to be incorporated into this exceptional wine, which, after fermentation, is further aged in the bottle to achieve its characteristic quality.

Upon opening a bottle of Masseria dei Carmelitani Gavi di Gavi, your senses are immediately greeted by its characteristic straw-yellow color with sparkling light green hues. Its aroma is like a symphony, where citrus notes harmonize with green apple and ripe peach. Accents of Mediterranean herbs and a hint of vanilla complete this tasting experience. This wine perfectly balances elegance and structure, with a silky finish that lingers in the memory. As an aperitif, Masseria dei Carmelitani Gavi di Gavi stands alone, but its versatility also shines as an accompaniment to hors d'oeuvres, fish dishes, and shellfish.

Every bottle of Masseria dei Carmelitani Gavi di Gavi is a celebration of tradition, craftsmanship, and passion. When you choose this wine, you're choosing not only an exquisite taste experience but also a piece of Italian history and culture. Close your eyes, take a sip, and let Masseria dei Carmelitani Gavi di Gavi transport you on a journey through the heart of Italy's wine country.
