Since 1995, the Calmel & Joseph winery has been a household name in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The vineyards are primarily located on the coast, and by planting vines on different plots, the winery can cultivate different grape varieties in their ideal soil.
The vines are deeply rooted in clay and limestone soil. The climate is Mediterranean with abundant sunshine and little rain. Winters are mild, while summers are very hot and dry. This combination ensures that the grapes remain healthy. The Grenache grapes are harvested in two distinct phases. First, an early harvest to enhance the freshness of the wine, followed by a 15-day fermentation period to achieve a good concentration of aromas. In the winery, destemming and a six-hour maceration follow. This is followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature. The fine lees are added to provide more structure. Finally, the wine is aged for several months in stainless steel tanks.
A beautiful rosé with a light pink color appears in the glass. A fruity and floral aroma greets you. Aromas of rose, pomegranate, white flowers, and strawberry combine to create a beautiful bouquet. The scent of anise and mint completes the look. The palate is beautifully balanced and very lively. Citrus notes on the palate with a hint of licorice in the finish. A pure rosé with a phenomenal flavor palette.
